Welcome Back

Welcome back message from Michael Reeves, Acting Headteacher

A warm welcome back to school to students, parents and carers, and staff. I hope you all had a good summer, and that everyone is now keen to get back to work.

Last year was hugely successful. Most importantly, there was a lot of hard work going on, and the students in Year 11 got the best exam results we have ever had! We are starting some more new courses this year which will make things even better.

Garratt Park School has started  on a number of new projects moving forward. We welcomed Mark Lane, from the BBC’s Gardeners World, who is kindly giving us some ideas for developing our outside space. Also most welcome were the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, who have offered to continue working with us this year.

I would especially like to welcome our new students and their parents and carers. Year 7 have made a superb start, and are already getting used to the Garratt Park Way.
